I heart Harris Teeter!

Harris Teeter is doing triples again, and I was really prepared this time. I ordered some coupons that I knew I could use for good deals from The Coupon Clippers on Tuesday. I headed to HT as soon as the mail arrived today!

I had a coupon for a free can of Del Monte tomatoes, a $4 OYNO catalina from buying $20 worth of Gerber a couple of weeks ago, and a $5 gift card that customer service gave me for free for having to go through a lot of trouble to get my $4 OYNO catalina that didn't print like it was supposed to...in addition to all my coupons that tripled. After all was said and done today, I still have $1.28 left on my FREE gift card!!!

do you shop at walmart? That is the only close place to me. How do you only spend $500 or less on grocery's? I am a family of 6 and i spend more than 100 dollars each time i go shopping I have 4 kids, a 4 year old and 18 month old triplets. I need to seriously start a budget, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks hope to hear something!

I don't shop at Walmart very often. My usual shopping places are CVS where I can earn Extra Care Bucks, and then Kroger, Lowe's Foods, and Harris Teeter because they double (and occasionally triple) coupons. We are only a family of three right now, so I'm sure that is part of it. I also try to stock up on items when they are on sale and when I can use coupons to get those items for free or nearly free (like this week at Harris Teeter!). I just started getting into this back in October, so I've come a long ways. I started by reading Crystal's blog www.thethriftymama.com -- especially her posts for newbies. I started slow and have really learned a lot. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll do my best to answer them for you. Best of luck to you! :)
